Founded in 1972, The Pankey Institute is a nonprofit organization in Key Biscayne, Florida that promotes optimal oral health care through advanced continuing education for dentists.
It was the first institute of its kind and remains among the most prestigious, attracting dentists from 42 nations to its educational programs. It is estimated that over 20,000 dentists and specialists have attended its courses and now serve millions of patients worldwide.
The Pankey Institute's purpose is to help dentists grow in confidence and competence to their greatest potential in a non-threatening environment that values and respects each individual.
Not only does the Institute guide and encourage dentists in all aspects of dental practice, but also helps them to discover what success and happiness personally means to them and to create fulfilled, balanced lives.
Dentists are encouraged to know their work, keep abreast of emerging technology and knowledge, and then master these to the absolute best of their ability. They also are encouraged to know themselves and each patient well so they may more effectively apply their knowledge.
Although the Institute stands for clinical, professional and personal excellence, it is not the Institute's intent to impose an intimidating set of ideals on its students.
