Heraeus Supports the LD Pankey Foundation
The LD Pankey Foundation operates a program called "Dental Access Days," providing free oral health services to under-served people across the United States. Clinics are held in a variety of locations across the country.
The mission of each local clinic is to provide as many under-served people as possible with dental care over the course of a two-day event.
Heraeus participates in Dental Access Days in two ways: with product donations and providing a host site for a local clinic.
In 2010, the Education Center at our corporate headquarters was transformed into a multi-operatory dental care facility. More than $100,000 in dental services were provided to 76 patients at no charge over the course of 2 days.
On August 13-14, 2010, Heraeus hosted the Pankey Dental Access Days free dental clinic in South Bend, Indiana.
Over 50 volunteers came together to provide services to 76 people, that included fillings, cleanings, extractions, even full and partial dentures.
Many thanks to all those who generously gave of their time– as well as the LD Pankey Foundation. Planning is currently underway for the 2011 event, which will also be hosted at Heraeus.
